The founder of Lotus Wellbeing is Melissa Tuell, a passionate wellness advocate with nearly three decades of experience in healthcare, including 8 years as a yoga teacher, 9 years as a wellness coach, more than 29 years as an occupational therapist.
Throughout her career, she's worked with individuals across all walks of life, helping them improve not only their physical health but also their emotional and mental well-being. As a yoga teacher and wellness coach, she's seen firsthand how integrating regular movement, mindfulness, self-care practices can unlock sustainable transformation. Her background as an occupational therapist gives her a deep understanding of how our everyday environments and habits shape our well-being.
The philosophy of Lotus Wellbeing is rooted in (1) the Blue Zones approach—living in harmony with nature, practicing regular movement, mindfulness, nourishing our bodies with whole foods, nurturing relationships, keeping our sense of purpose alive and (2) the principles of Lifestyle Medicine, focusing on sustainable, evidence-based practices that promote long-term health and vitality.
